Lately, I've been going back to my ideas of Nostalgia. I've been considering building it as a family portal for the cousins on my mom's side... The Cruz Family Portal.

I'd include a blog where we could write our personal stories/messages. I'd include Nostalgia. We could post our pictures there, set alerts when new pictures were posted, search through pictures, etc.

It's such an undertaking to write the underlying code. Your ideas work much faster than your ability to write the infrastructure to support it. There's not much out there that would save you much time in building something like this... so you build pieces a little at a time.

Since it's my own code, I can tear it up and start over again. I think I will shoot for Christmas to launch a version of it. I'll make it a gift to the family that will help us keep in touch.

1. Blog for events.
2. Family Tree - Pictures , Birthdays, Addresses, Clothes Sizes, etc.
3. Nostalgia - Pictures that are searchable through People,Place,Thing, etc dimensions.
4. Easy to use, smooth, templated for reusability.
