Personal Logistics as defined by me will be yet another technology that has it's origins from military art.
The dictionary.com definition of logistics is...
That branch of the military art which embraces the details of moving and supplying armies. The meaning of the word is by some writers extended to include strategy.
In commercial practice, trucking and shipping companies use the word logistics to mean the management of a predictable schedule for delivery. One method of implementation is to stick GPS locators on trucks and monitor their wherabouts. I'm not an expert on this but I imagine they take measurements of average times trucks take for particular routes and factor those into the service level agreements, pricing, and truck driver performance measures. If a truck driver is taking 20% longer for some truck route, maybe he's goofing off or something. You might drill down to the GPS information and find he's spending too much time stopping off at bars along the way.
I've made a living tying disparate sources of data together to provide insight. Personal logistics is an extension of that. We all leave signatures proving that we existed on this Earth. Digital pictures and video, financial transactions, resumes, blog entries and emails, children, completed projects, written works, daily planners, handheld device information. Personal logistics will involve tying all of these things together and finding practical applications for doing so. The goal for myself is to keep a richer, multi-dimensional records of my time spent on Earth. I'm passionate about taking the time I have here and leaving a mark. I've learned to internalize a fear of death and instead try to make the most out of life. For me, this means producing ideas that will live beyond me.

- Budgeting - Look for patterns in your behavior for insight to help you budget your time and money.
