The vision of franchise building that I want to sell to my possible customers.
A franchise infrastructure we can build can give a person the basic building blocks for managing their business and a web presence. Perhaps the franchises shares the risks and rewards of business throughout the whole franchise network. I envision small teams of franchise owners monitoring business intelligence reporting tied to all franchise transaction data. Maybe a franchiser in Texas can read reports of a Franchiser in Maine who is not doing so well. He can break down their top customers and suggest and track the results of a new marketing plan to cross sell to their top customers. A guy in Maine can look at the top 3 marketing ideas that other franchisees did that provided the most lift to their product/service sales. Since the base business is the same, it's possible that the Maine franchise might benefit from marketing techniques they hadn't tried before.
If the franchise system is designed to share knowledge like that, all can benefit. Hopefully someone in the network has the imagination to look at the data and try new things and monitor success and share that success with the other franchises.
Alternatively, a Maine guy could try things out from the guy in Texas and find out that it works in Texas but it doesn't work in Maine. The guy in New Hampshire may say well, if it doesn't work in Maine, it probably won't work for me since I live close to Maine and our people's have similar tastes and behavior and demographics.
Each franchisers experiment is backed by business intelligence on top of transactional data. New techniques and reports or overhauls to the transactional systems could be provided by my company as we learn more about marketing and customer segmentation.
