Each week from now til my birthday (Aug 21 - I use this as milestones), I will complete a building block piece, something built with code that actually does something and is displayable on the web. I will start with a SCRUM - a fancy way of outlining what I think I can accomplish in the next 30 days.
My case study will be the Lock and Key community that I've been kicking around for my friend Tony Euganeo for too long.
To be honest, I have fears that my coding skills or at least endurance are not enough. Coding moves much slower than ideas. I will just have to stick with it and begin with the end in mind. A flexible build will give me a strawman to build other businesses on cookie cutter style.
A little less conversation... a little more action... as Elvis says.
I've been priming my engines by writing Perl scripts for work to spider web sites. It's slow going but I am getting back into the hard work of building something that is reusable.
