I am very happy with the text I've put together so far for my whitepaper on Agile Decision Support Systems. I was trained at Rutgers to be a writer. Getting into the English program at Rutgers College turned me around. I found something to be passionate about and it gave me the encouragement I needed to finish college. In fact, I finished 2 degrees in 3.5 years. I also wrote several short stories one of which was published in an Asian student paper I wrote for called Common Interest.
My plan is to plug away at the whitepaper on my iMac (Pages produces a nice layout). I may add a few Visio 2003 diagrams to it later. I'll release it to my website and continue to update it. I will accept feedback to it and rewrite it through this blog.
The end product will redefine "How It Works". I hope to market it to the open source business intelligence market that is in it's infancy with Pentaho just finding it's legs. My business plan is to ride open source business intelligence into a business in the next 10 months. I will write code, contribute to the community while I find the odd assignment here or there.
That's going to be my story and I'm going to stick to it. I can easily find another job but happiness will only come if I take what I've experienced in BI and build out they way I believe things can run better. No one else can say it for me. The thoughts are here in my head from over 10 years of experience the last 4 of which have been lived on internet time.
