2006-08-13 Work hard, Play hard Version 2.0

It's amazing how much more the creative juices are flowing since I left my job and went on my own. Thanks to friends in my network, I was lucky enough to find another gig and so far, I haven't missed a beat income wise.

With a long commute, I'm out 11 hours a day minimum but it doesn't feel like it because I'm doing it for myself. Also, I don't have the weight of responsibility caused by being undermanned on me that I had before. Can't rely on it to always be that way. Can't rest on my laurels. Got to look for growth opportunites.

My approach is working on several activities that will move me in the directions that I want to take my career.
