I've changed my logo. I was playing around with the open source graphics program, TheGimp, yesterday. It has a nice feature called Scriptfu which is a way of scripting together the over 1001 features that TheGimp can do. A bunch of people got creative and built canned customizable tasks for doing things like making logos. My logo was made with the Glossy feature, green on the inside and red on the outside to match the company symbol.
I've got my website on all the resumes I've put out. I'm going to start tracking the traffic by putting Google Analytics tags in. I think gone are they days when only 3 of my friends are reading my blog. I may put my blog and resume on the first page when I redo my navs. I'm getting rid of the Microsoft front page theme by rewriting my code. Along the way, I'm picking up a minimum level of design skills. I may move to a different blogging platform too or edit the perl code on this one to add techniques to make it more searchable like tag clouds or folksonomies (just now learning what these things are).
Anyway, I was approached yesterday about a 3 month data analyst gig in NY. I may take it. My goal is to make enough money so I can take the summer off, go to the Philippines, and explore the ideas of extending my business to the Philippines. My nephew is studying computer science and I would like to put my business in his hands. I've been working on my coaching skills by coaching special needs students in bowling for the Montgomery County Special Olympics. I've got a new intern, my sponsors son, for my car restoration enthusiast site.
