In the past few weeks, I've read a lot about cascading style sheets, the box model, divs and spans, and layout using CSS. I read chapters in Head First HTML. Of the things I've read, it holds my interest. New ideas are blooming for making over my site and a small community a few friends and I are conceiving.

I've also finished reading a paper on Ruby on Rails web services. I got my first call from a recruiter for RoR help in Washington,DC. I plan to be quite far into practicing RoR by year end. I'm also hoping to have Pentaho under my belt.

I'm getting calls from recruiters each day but I haven't found anything that has clicked yet. Ideally, I could get a 3-8 month assignment that paid at least $7500 per month doing work that kept me moving in the direction I want to go - Open Souce BI, Ruby on Rails, getting better in design and analysis - basically positioning myself to build innovative products on the web that solve important problems.

My intern is hard at work. I have to keep up with him providing things to show him where I am going with the work he is doing for me.
