I incubate software companies. On my own, I am becoming more and more passionate about learning and practicing the web development / analytics development to power tomorrows businesses. A friend of mine recently left the Internet company we were both working for and went into the market of flipping houses. He's got an analytical mind and passionate about the art of making more money in the process of investing in properties than he put in. Unfortunately for me, I don't have the passion he has for that kind of business. I am however passionate about thinking about learning technology and putting it to use on the world stage in a web application. Imagine this simple web site I have here can be read by anyone in the world. The two years of blogs I have written might give real insight into the thoughts and life of I hope to one day put on my gravestone - A better than average Information Worker.

So I'm starting to incubate the energy market app I'm working on. I plan to build web service clients and servers that interact with transaction systems and dump data into staging area. That data is transformed through ETL into a star schema model which supports analytic applications. This is the pattern I will follow for all of my future incubation efforts.
