Fear,Uncertainty,Doubt vs. Competition

I've been working in a project environment where I have a good bit of ancillary help for tech writing, project management, and business analysis but the bulk of the project responsibility falls on me.  I coordinate meetings, follow up on number of issues, and decide how to break up work in such a way to deliver value to the business in small deliverables. With so much to manage, there's an understandable tendency to take the word of people you talk to instead of drilling down into the details, especially if you are still in the requirements phase of things.

To me, I find that computer science is still an artform. Experience and intuition tells you when you should dig deeper. The consequence of not capturing the business problem is a bloated solution that leaves room for your competitors to eat your lunch.

Resist Fear, Uncertainity, and Doubt. Know how it works :).
