Top 5 Interests

1. Drupal

Drupal still receives the first place. You see, you can imagine Drupal as the clay for a molder, the paint for a painter, the marble for a sculptor, the sound to a composer, the words to a writer - it's something that is quite complicated but at the same time so flexible you can do a lot from it. It's like a pool of so many tools which you can use to form thousands of combinations. I want to learn how to harness those resources and create something beyond the ordinary.

2. Module building

The 2 Cebu Drupalers in the Code Sprint inspired me about this. When I here them talk about the module that they've created, they sound so cool and so full of capabilities. It makes me want to say, "I want to build my own module." I believe that to be a full pledged Drupaler, you have to have your own module (or at least attempt to do one. :p)

3. Entrepreneurship

Before I had the dream of pursuing the computer world, I dreamt of being a businessman - and yes, it's still a part of my dream. I imagined myself a man-on-the-top in the computer field and at the same time a competitive businessman in the future. At present, while I'm still on my way to my dream, maybe I can learn how to integrate the two of them in the projects that I work on.

4. Hardware / NGO's

I must admit this is brought up by my laptop problems lately. Haha. Well, as a computer professional, you have to be versatile - you should not be contented on where you are now because there will always be areas for improvement. Learning the computer's physical structure is also useful for practical things.

About the NGO's, I've realized lately the value of people struggling and fighting for their rights and even for some of ours. It's a courageous and virtuous deed you can consider those members of the NGO's a multitude of unsung heroes. And as an IT professional, what can I do? What else but to help their cause in ways that I'm capable of.

5. Literature

Yes, I know, I know - this may seem not related with the four above. Haha. But a writer's a writer. :p And to defend myself in including this, you can relate literature in different forms and media - blogs, Wikis, the pages of a web site. So see! Haha. Well, seriously, literature's one of my greatest passion and it can never be taken away from me. :D
