Write up about TAGADELIC configuration and TAGS by Sheila

To setup tagadelic cloud for CM website I've added:

TAGADELIC

The tagadelic module generates a page with weighted tags, indicating how many times a category or tag has been used to categorize content on the site. The cool thing is that by merely altering font sizes, these lists suddenly gain a dimension: the more often a tag is used, the larger its font size. Tagadelic offers various ways to add terms and vocabularies in one tag cloud. By using the urls, you can create your own clouds pages. It also offers a sideblock for each taxonomy tree. Tagadelic offers dynamic URLs.

TAGADELIC_VIEW

Implements a Views plugin that adds a "View Type" to the Views page and block named "Tagadelic" (in addition to "Teaser", "Full Page", etc...). When selected, the nodes returned by the view are themed as a "Tagadelic" block in the same vein as the tagadelic module. At least one vocabulary field should be added to the Field List.

How to configure?

  1. After installing the module, create a vocabulary category for your tag cloud (administer > content management > taxonomy > add vocabulary). For CM, I call it Article Tags, as its simple to recognize. Select the node types on this category that you wish it to be associated with for example, pages, stories, blogs... etc.
  2. Display the tag cloud on the front page by using administer > site building > blocks and position the ARTICLE TAGS block wherever you like. To set the amount of tags listed on the tag cloud just edit the ARTICLE TAGS block.
  3. To set the amount of tags per page and and the tagadelic order go to site configuration > tagadelic configuration

How to do tagging and place it on the tag cloud?

When you edit a page, you will now see a below the TITLE section called ARTICLE TAGS - any comma separated keywords entered here will be in your tag cloud.

Note: I've set the amount of tags listed on the tag cloud block into 250 because sometimes I cant see the tags I've placed on the article tags.
